Private vs. Shared Baths at The Oliver House

Our Bathrooms & Room Layouts

When The Oliver House was built in 1908, having running water and an indoor bathroom was a privilege reserved for the upper and middle classes, especially in the West. The Oliver House originally had only 2 bathrooms for all 15 rooms --1 upstairs and 1 downstairs. 

Our "Private Bath" Rooms are smaller--with a Queen or Full-size bed, and no closets or dressers. Since the room sizes have never been altered, the private bathroom consumes square footage in each of those rooms. Our "Shared Bath" rooms have more space, furniture, and closets.
