A Glimpse into the Past

Built in 1908, the Oliver House served as a boarding house for miners during Bisbee's booming copper mining era. Its walls have witnessed the joys and sorrows of countless residents, leaving an indelible mark on the building's energy.

Ghostly Residents At The Oliver House

Numerous reports have surfaced over the years, recalling encounters with spectral figures within the Oliver House. Visitors have claimed to see apparitions of former residents, dressed in period clothing, wandering the hallways or peering out of windows. These ghostly inhabitants are believed to be lingering spirits, forever tied to the Oliver House where their memories of life are strong. The Oliver House is even part old the Old Bisbee Ghost Tour, which tours the property almost every day of the week.

Nat Anderson

It is said that Nat Anderson met his fate in room 13, which has since become the epicenter of his ghostly presence. According to local legends, Nat was a former resident of the house who met an untimely end under mysterious circumstances. The haunting of room 13 has become a focal point for paranormal investigations at the Oliver House. Ghost hunters and enthusiasts often gather in hopes of capturing evidence of Nat Anderson's spirit. Electronic voice phenomena (EVP) recordings and photographs have been taken, capturing unexplained sounds and shadowy figures believed to be connected to Nat's ghostly presence.

The legend of Nat Anderson's haunting in room 13 continues to intrigue visitors, drawing them to the Oliver House in search of a paranormal encounter.

Formerly The Blue Room

What was previously called “The Blue Room” is the alleged location of an adultery-related murder in 1932. The wife of a policeman was having an affair. When the officer learned of this (after coming back early one evening) he went on a murderous rampage killing his wife, her lover, and everyone he then found in the building. Eventually, he turned the gun on himself and met his demise. This occurrence left a heavy energy lingering in the building. It has been said that residual hauntings in this room involve sounds of footsteps and moving furniture when no one is around.

HAUNTED HOTSPOTS

Certain areas within the Oliver House have gained a reputation for heightened paranormal activity. The 2nd floor seems to have the most activity. With its dimly lit corridors and chilling atmosphere, The Oliver House has been a hotspot for ghostly encounters. In the past, visitors have reported unexplained cold spots, eerie whispers, and even the feeling of being watched.
