FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) at The Oliver House
What are “Euro-Style” (shared) bathrooms at The Oliver House?
These rooms do not have a bathroom inside the room–and instead have access to all shared bathrooms in the house. The Oliver House features 4 shared bathrooms (shared between 11 rooms) with showers and a clawfoot tub. Our shared bathroom rates cost less, offer more space and furnishings, and provide lots of luxury.
What does “Adults Only” mean? Are children allowed at The Oliver House?
Anyone under 21 must obtain management approval to stay at The Oliver House. We do not allow guests under 18 to stay. (We only allow children if you book the entire house for a group stay or event). Under this policy, parties checking in with underage guests will be denied entry without a refund.
What’s breakfast like at The Oliver House?
We offer complimentary coffee, tea, and snacks in the common room from 7 to 11 am. You’re welcome to “grab & go” or sit down and enjoy.
Does The Oliver House have an elevator? Is it easy to get around?
Our apologies, there is no elevator at The Oliver House. We feature the original wooden staircase. For folks with mobility issues, Old Bisbee can be difficult to stay in and explore. As a historic landmark, it is all hills and stairs, and many restaurants and businesses do not have on-site parking. Our parking is 150-200 feet from the front door, and there are a few steps up to the front porch. But no flights of Bisbee stairs to get to us, just a walk uphill. We recommend staying downstairs in rooms 1-6 if the stairs are a concern.
Do you allow pets at the Oliver House?
ONLY DOWNSTAIRS rooms are pet-friendly–rooms 1-6. Please let us know at the time of booking that you’ll be bringing a pet. All stays are subject to a $30 pet fee for the duration of your stay. If the pet fee was not included in your booking (it is not included on travel websites), it must be paid at check-in.
Pet policy:
- Please do not leave pets unattended for long periods of time
- Outdoor pet relief only (no pee pads)
- No unattended, free-roaming pets
- No aggressive or noisy animals
Where is parking during my stay at The Oliver House?

Once you park for your stay, you’ll have walkable access to all that Old Bisbee has to offer. We also have EV charging just a few steps away.
